Kurobe-Unazuki Canyon Route opens through the Japan Alps
The new route links the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route with the Kurobe Gorge Railway. Tours started on 2 October 2026.

The Kurobe-Unazuki Canyon Route runs between Keyakidaira Station and Kurobe Dam, mostly underground, by elevator, battery-powered mini train, underground cable car and tunnel bus.
It takes about three hours.
